Fairway Wood Shafts
Maximizing your distance and accuracy
on long shots from the fairway is accomplished by matching the correct shaft flex for your swing. The goal is to achieve the correct trajectory shape with the fairway wood, which maximizes distance with the longer woods and minimizes roll with the shorter woods.
Generally, the same shaft type and flex
as the player's driver will produce the optimal trajectory in fairway woods, but it is not uncommon for players to have a different shaft brand, type, and/or flex in their fairway woods since they are ground-impact clubs and may perform differently for some players.

TFC 129: Tip Flex Control - Designed specifically for
the G10 product line, the PING TFC 129 Series is engineered with lightweight materials and
features progressive weight, flex, and torsion profiles to increase club head speed
for maximum distance while providing optimal launch conditions for superior control,
consistency and feel.
Grafalloy ProLaunch Red - creates a lower launch
angle and reduced spin rate when compared to the PING TFC 129D, providing an
alternative for golfers desiring a slightly lower driver trajectory.
UST V2 High Launch - creates a higher launch
angle and increased spin rate when compared to the PING TFC 129D, providing an
alternative for golfers desiring a slightly higher driver trajectory.
Aldila NVS 75 - a premium graphite shaft from
Aldila, the NVS creates a higher launch with more spin, providing an option to the
TFC 909 for golfers seeking a higher ball trajectory.
TFC 909: Tip Flex Control - Designed specifically for
the Rapture product line, the TFC 909 Series utilizes high performance, lightweight
materials which increase club head speed for maximum distance and increase tip stability
for better control and feel.
VS Proto 85 - a premium graphite
shaft from Aldila that produces a lower launch angle and lower spin rate
than the TFC 909, for golfers seeking a lower ball trajectory.
TFC 100: Tip Flex Control - this premium graphite
shaft utilizes lightweight materials to help increase club head speed for greater distance.
PING JZ - for players who prefer the weight and
feel of a steel shaft, the PING JZ provides a trajectory similar to the TFC 100.
Grafalloy ProLaunch 65 - an alternative to
the PING TFC 100D shaft, the ProLaunch 65 can help the golfer acheive a slightly
higher trajectory with approximately the same spin rate as the TFC 100D.
Aldila NV 75 - an alternative to
the standard TFC shaft, the NV 75 creates a lower trajectory drive
with a lower spin rate when compared to the TFC 100D.
